Week 2

1. Reflections on Course Content

To search for Global Topics at first I just googled "global topics" and began reading about different things until I found three different topics as possible research topics. This probably wasn't the best approach, but it worked out okay for me. Now that I have chosen one topic I will look in ProQuest to see what types of information that I can find pertaining to my topic. I went onto the Grays Harbor College site to do the Library assignment for distance learners. I found the set up to be easy to follow and I have talked to a librarian for previous classes. I just need to remember that I have access to the library.

2. Application to your life

I fell behind this week trying to deal with some other issues. I am in the process of playing catch up now. I had a difficult time trying to find an encyclopedia for my global topic, but in the end I finally found one that worked out.

Leslie's Blog set-up

I found that the instructions for setting up a blog were easy to follow. I have never had a blog before or followed anyone's blog in the past. I think that this will be an interesting project for this class.
